To do something good for the people and the planet
Our first steps towards sustainability.
Our sustainability philosophy unites all of our business units.
All our online shops: BiGDUG, Office Furniture Online, Büromöbel online, Certeo, Horeca XXL, Mydisplays and Davpack share the enthusiasm for transformation and development. We know that we are still at the very beginning of our sustainability journey. There is still a lot for us to do. On this page we want to take you with us on our journey and give you an insight into our ambitions, efforts and projects. As Newport Group our goal is to make a difference for our own future and the future of generations to come. For us, sustainability means
to do something good for the people and the planet.
Step by Step.
We are aware that we are still at the very beginning. We see our sustainability efforts as a long-term process in which we want to develop steadily and through constant questioning ourself, seeking to find out what we can improve next.
To achieve this, we have set up a sustainability working group that is dedicated to new projects and improvement opportunities. Our team works on group-wide organizational structures and projects to make Newport more sustainable and establish it throughout the entire company.
We are moving one step at a time towards sustainability, always striving to make a difference for people and the environment.
As a first step, we have now started a tree planting campaign for all our business units in cooperation with Eden Reforestation Projects.
We donate one tree per order
It has been proven that planting trees contributes to improving the climate and reducing emissions. Planting trees not only helps combat climate change, but also extreme poverty in the areas where they are grown. How does that work? Local residents are hired to plant and protect the trees.
The non-profit organization is committed to replanting heavily deforested landscapes in order to rebuild a natural landscape. In addition to planting over 4 million trees, the organization has also created over 4 million working days for the local workers. Eden Forest Projects operates in 8 countries including Nepal, Haiti, Madagascar, Kenya and Central America.

No. all you have to do is place your order as usual. The planting order will then be released automatically.

Who owns the trees?
The trees are owned by the local community, who have committed to actively participate in the reforesation during the collaboration with Eden Reforesing Projects.
Will the trees be protected?
Eden Reforesin Projects is doing everything possible to ensure that the planting is sustainable. As an example, no logging areas are planted, forest wardens are hired and local residents are supplied with alternative fuels. Fruit trees are also planted so that the trees can be used sustainably and provide a long-term source of income.
